  • Abstract
    Aim: This study was conducted to determine the menopause related problems, coping methods and perspectives of the women having menopause. Material and Methods: This study has a descriptive design. Sample selected by using 30 cluster-sampling methods and total 300 women were included. Data collected through faceto- face interviews with structured survey between the dates February-July 2013. Results: Most common problems women suffered from menopause were numbness, tingling in hands and feet, headache and attention deficit. Most common coping method with the tingling problem is going a doctor; taking a painkiller for a headache. While menopause’s positive aspects mentioned as involving in decision-making process, not giving birth and discontinuation of menstruation; negative aspects mentioned as increase in disease frequency, digestion problems, gaining weight, increase in pain, aggression, sweating, distress, urinary incontinence problem. Conclusion: We observed that women experience many problems from many systems and cannot deal effectively with the identified problems.
