  • Abstract
    The main purpose of this study was to determine general, internal and external job satisfaction levels of the university teaching staff at vocational schools of foundation universities in stanbul. The research was carried at 7 foundation universities (Bahcesehir, Fatih, Kadir Has, Kultur, Bilgi, Beykent and Istanbul Commerce) in Istanbul. Data of the study were gathered from 149 full time teaching staff at these universities. Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) consisting of 20 items was used to obtain the data for the study. To analyse the results, some statistical techniques like mean, standart deviation, t test, one way anova and LSD test were used. At the end of the study, it has been found that the general as well as internal and external job satisfaction levels of the lecturers working for vocational school of foundation universities are adequately high. Besides, the lecturers’ internal job satisfaction is meaningfully higher than their external job satisfaction level. According to the analysis of the study, there is no statistically meaningful difference between the lecturers gender, marital status, years of experience at work and educational level. In contrast to these variables, there is a significant difference between age and lecturers’ internal and external job satisfaction level
