Abstract :
The emergenceoftechnologyinthefast-pacedlifeofto-
dayhaschangedthenatureofeducation,particularlyinfluencingthe
waysofteachingandlearningnewlanguages.Thisstudyinvestigated
the effectsofutilizingtheelectronicmindmapsonthecreativityof
Iranian EFLteachers.DeterminingtheattitudesandbeliefsofIranian
EFL teacherstowardutilizingelectronicmindmapswasanotheraimof
the study.Thedatawerecollectedfrom44IranianEFLteachersus-
ing thepost-testonlycontrolgroupdesign.Theywereequallydivided
intotwogroupsofexperimentalandcontrol.Thetreatmentincluded
an electronicmindmapsoftwaretopresentthecontentofinstruction
in comparisontotheconventionalteachingusedinthecontrolgroup.
After16sessions,aone-phasepost-testincludingtheEnglishLanguage
TeacherCreativityScale(ELTCS)andaseriesofinterviewswereused.
The findingsrevealedthatutilizingelectronicmindmapsincreasedthe
creativityofteachersincomparisontotheoneswhousedconventional method.Inaddition,themajorityofparticipantshadpositiveatti-tudestowardselectronicmindmapsandregardedthemascreativity-enhancingtools.Itwasconcludedthatutilizingelectronicmindmapsmightberegardedasanup-to-date,innovative,andusefulinstrumentforteachers,educators,andresearchersforaidingideagenerationanddivergentthinkingprocesses.
