AYDIN SAĞLIK HİZMETLERİ MESLEK YÜKSEKOKULU ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN SÜT TÜKETİM ALIŞKANLIKLARI ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

In this study, the habits of fluid milk consumption of undergraduate students of Adnan Menderes University were investigated. 134 students joined for the questionnaire. Discussing briefly the profile of the respondents, 73,1 % was composed of female and 26,9 % of male. Related to whether students drink milk, the answers showed 69.4% yes and 30.6% no. %66.7 percentile of students consuming milk regularly were signed that consuming of 200 ml (one cup of milk) and 13.9% percentile of students were signed that consuming of more than 500 ml milk. When asking to consuming milk regulary students the reason of consume, they answered that it has nutritive value 73%. Besides, when asking to consuming milk regulary students the reason of not consume, they answered that they dislike its odor 20% or has not habitation of consuming milk 14%. They prefer to UHT 52%; pasteurized 40.2%;unpacked milk 7.9% for drinking.They 62.7 %signed that no information about dairy calciumlevels required for adults.When asking the diseases related to calciumdeficiency, they answered that osteoporoses andbone diseases 70.1%. Moreover, they reported that advertisement for milk consumption is insufficient71.6%; and the most important method isaudiovisual broadcasting 76.1%. In conclusion,there is consuming milk regulary students 82.8%have little knowledge about the importance of milk consumption.
