Grief is a natural reaction to loss encountered in the human life. Every loss gives an occasion the individual to change and develop oneself, in addition to the pain. Grief is the topic of literature as well. The current paper investigates the loss experiences of various Turkish writers and poets and their approaches to these experiences in their works. In this way it is aimed to make contribution to the understanding of human psychology in the process of interpretation the loss experience and the awarening the grief experience.
