Public Service Broadcasting Policies in European Union on the Grounds ofNew Liberal Policies

Convergence brought out in neoliberal economy policy through media technologieshas led to concentration of communication sector as ever seen before. Thesignificance given to public service media companies in new media market, on theother hand, expanding rapidly by the investments of transnational corporations hasbegun to lose its traditional effect swiftly. As a result of that they have to resort tonew economic and political strategies to maintain their existence in this new market.This research looks into the approaches to the public service media in Europeancountries in the neoliberal period and discusses the new ways with new strategies ofpublic service broadcasting companies to exist in new media markets.
