Abstract :
An efficient procedure for the synthesis of benzofuran derivatives employing 2-amino-4-hydroxy acethophenone, isopropenylacetylene, aldehyde, alkyl bromides, activated acetylenic compounds and triphenylphosphine in the presence of KF/CP (NPs) as a heterogeneous base nanocatalyst in water at room temperature is investigated. Also, the antioxidant activity of some synthesized compounds was studied. The workup of reaction is simple and the products can be separated easily from the reaction mixture. KF/CP NPs show a good improvement in the yield of the product. The catalyst displayed significant reusable activity.
