Abstract :
A novel series of J4- I7-membcred diaza-dioxa-macrocyclic complexes. [M LI-9X2] [M =Mn(ll). Co(II) and Zn(II); X = CI or N03], have been prepared by the template condensation reaction of 2-hydroxy benzaldehyde with 1,2-diamino ethane, 1,3-diamino propane oro-phcnylcnc diaminc and 1,2-dibromocthane, I,3-dibromo propane or o-xylcnc dibrornidcin 2: I: I molar ratio. The stoichiometry and coordination modes of the complexes have been deduced from IR, H NMR, EPR and UV spectral data, conductivity and magnetic moment measurements. An octahedral geometry has been suggested for all complexes
