Women and love are such an exciting pairing and often find a place in the heart of a writer. The beauty of women and the sweetness of love are inseparable from each other and are beautifully bound in three short stories that reflect the culture of the Chinese community and are beautifully recorded in the Masitah Short Story Group. But the beauty and sweetness of love does not always last because they are also victims of various romance conflicts, betting on gambling and sometimes ending in death. The short stories ‘Antara Rindu Xiang Si Dou’, ‘Kesuma Cinta Meigue’ and ‘Cerita Si Kembang Cina’ are beautifully crafted through symbolism that reflects the culture of the Chinese community which is a large part of the population in this country. The value of friendship, solidarity and love that are in respect of short stories show the close relationship between the Chinese and Malay culture. Meanwhile, the short story From Bumble Bee to Boy s Room depicts the story of the government in Singapore maintaining the population growth rate through sperm banks. The writing of this paper fully uses the method of content analysis in addition to interviews with short story writers. This article aims to see the sacrifice of a female figure in living life as a mother, wife, child and friend and even as a teacher in a family institution. Among the interesting questions that are tried to be expressed in this article is why the female character is expressed in the short stories so that the author mixes his story well and incorporates various elements of grief in women s lives. One of the interesting findings in this paper is that in each short story there is a story about red, but the color is depicted in many different forms and shapes.
