Development of e-learning today has established a repository of learning objects on the Web that provide learning materials that can be accessed by the user at any time. These learning materials should be shared and reused for the construction of the learning materials in different contexts. But developers often find it difficult to reuse learning materials in the repository because most of the material is in the form of a large course. The study suggests a framework reusable learning objects that implement the granularisation and reuse of learning objects. Granularisation consists of three main processes which are extraction, selection and categorization of learning objects and annotation of metadata. This method has been successfully converted large course content to learning objects as small as a text in paragraphs, images and animation.Based on the method of reuse metrics in software engineering, four types of metrics to measure the level of reuse is the Weighted Method per Class, Coupling between Objects, Depth of Inheritance Tree and Cohesive Method. Metrics experimental results show that the level of reuse of learning objects in granule form is higher than the coarse grained learning objects. This suggests that the learning objects are easier to use.
