Abstract :
The effort to understand the words of Mohammed, which take an important place for constituting a source regarding the religion after the Koran, is tried to be sustained by the Moslems since the period of the Sahabe (companions of the Prophet Mohammed). And during the later periods, the educational activities for understanding the hadith continued increasingly at different institutions and locations. And today, the efforts to understand the hadith are continued in different sections of primary and secondary education institutes and departments of universities and under various names of course according to the levels of students and the attributes of institutions. And these efforts are important considering the mission of Mohammed, the Universal Islamic Prophet. In this writing, the importance of the activities for understanding the hadith based on charter and text critics, some thoughts regarding what to do in order to increase the efficiency of hadith education are mentioned. In the frame of these thoughts, it is pointed on that the notions in the hadith, subject of the education, are given whilst being associated with daily living, on being aware of that the words of Mohammed, transferred to us, contain individual, social and universal values. In virtue to the importance of integrated approach at hadith education, the importance of, lead by Koran, benefiting from other scientific disciplines in order to prevent a partial approach at understanding the hadith is highlighted.
