Abstract :
The peculiar structural organization of the human genome represents the first innate anti-mutation mechanism in view of the presence of large interspersed portions of non-functional intragenic, introns, and inter-genic DNA sequences and segments that can be mutated without having appreciable deleterious functional effects.
