Comparison of the Counties of Kahramanmaraş Province in Terms of Cultural Peculiarities

In this study, socio-cultural and economic variables based on cultural peculiarities were performed to determine more similar districts to each other from 10 districts of Kahramanmaras Province. To achieve this goal the statistical technique was used that name is “Hierarchical Cluster Analysis”. To determine the number of clusters, 10 districts of Kahramanmaras Province were tested by hierarchical cluster analysis. The analysis results of the single linkage method were supported with dendrogram, agglomerative schedule and proximity matrix. It is determined that counties of Kahramanmaras Province which are on the border to Adana and Osmaniye provinces are showed similarities to each other in cultural perspective but northern and eastern counties are depicted differences to each other and southern counties.
