Abstract :
The aim of this study is to determine disciplinary relations of Turkish geography and to reveal historicity of the cultural transformation that Turkish geography experienced. By using citation analysis of academic geography journals published in Turkey between 1943 and 2015, it is obtained that the disciplinary relations of Turkish geography is characterized by geology dominance until 1990s and since then the effect of geology begun to decline while various disciplines of social sciences and humanities started to emerge in the disciplinary relation pattern of Turkish geography especially after 2000. This transformation also coincedes with a process in which two-cultural practices started to appear in the discipline in addition to one-cultural heritage of geographical praxis in Turkey.
