Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to explain the psychological affect of the orientation tawakkul, which is an important value belonging to the Islamic Religion. The research was based on the grounded theory approach of qualitative research methods. In this context, half-structured interview with 50 people, reached by purposive sampling method were carried out. Content analysis and descriptive analysis were carried out in the study. The NVivo 11 programme is utilized for analyzing the data. In this research the definition of tawakkul was proven to be compatible with previous researches and also it has been proven that tawakkul is preferred especially during the times of making new decisions, health problems, financial problems, uncertainty, feeling hopelessness or disturbance. It is found that people feel more peaceful and relaxed, have enhanced psychological endurance, and higher levels of acceptance. Results show that tawakkul is seen as an important supportive mechanism for pious people. The reasons of tawakkul, the results and the process of tawakkul are dealt with as multi-dimensional as emotional-cognitive and behavioral. Findings of the research are discussed with the researches in literature and some suggestions were put forward for future researches.
