Abstract :
Arbitration is a method of refers to the arbitrator instead of the judge in settling disputes that may arise between the parties of the agreement. The arbitration, which had seen in ancient times, was a mediatorship. In the history of Turkish law, modern arbitration the first time had seen in the Ottoman legal system. In the world, with the New York Convention of 1958, modern arbitration has seen on the international platform and has been adopted by many countries. Among these countries, Russia and Turkey adopted the convention with reservations. Relations with Russia have strategic importance in the geographical, political and economic sense of our country, are constantly developing. In this context, the signing of both countries cooperation agreements on arbitration to improve their legal ties can contribute to the national economy.
