ANALYSIS OF THE SURVEY RESULTS OF LAWYERS PROVIDING TRAINING FOR TRAINEE SOLICITORS TO CONTRIBUTE TO IZMIR BAKIRCAY UNIVERSITY LAW FACULTY EDUCATION

The conditions and premises of law school education have always been a matter of discussion. Indeed, as a result of these long discussions, the “entrance examination for legal professions” has been introduced with the 3rd article of the Law No. 7188. This study was carried out to contribute to the legal education in all law schools in Turkey, primarily to the İzmir Bakırçay University Law School. In this context, a survey was conducted with 236 experienced lawyers working with trainee solicitors in İzmir. The survey questions was inspired by the discussions about the legal education reflected to the public. As a result of the survey, decidedly prominent data regarding legal education were collected. These collected data were assessed and the result of the assessment was included in the study. It has to be pointed out that it is not intended to redesign the legal education by virtue of this study. On the contrary, only datas, which might contribute to the legal education system will be shared. In the conclusion part, the recommendations regarding the steps that can be taken based on these collected data will be given.
