Abstract :
Scientometric study enables the researchers to measure the research publications. The authors in this study have assessed the research productivity of quantum mechanics a sub filed of physics. In order to retrieve the documents from Web of Science, the term ‘quantum mechanics’ was used. Five years period i.e. 2015 to 2019 were considered for the study. There were 10126 records have been retrieved. The findings of the study revealed that there is a steady growth found from 2015 to 2019 except the year 2018. Among the documents, articles were the predominant published items and USA, Republic China and Germany were the top most countries published more publications. Physical Review A, Physical Review letters and Physical Review B were the top most journals published highest number of documents. This study will be more useful to the academic and research community to choose the top most authors, organizations and countries for their collaborative study and find the high impact factor journals for their studies.
