Abstract :
Porphyrin-linked C70 and porphyrin-linked C60 dyads have been designed and synthesized to evaluate the intrinsic properties of C70 in electron transfer. The photoinduced charge separation in the former is accelerated by a factor of about two compared with that in the latter. The result shows that C70 can be added to potential building blocks in artificial photosynthesis.
