Abstract :
The individual, who is part of society, has responsibilities towards this world and society. With the concept of social responsibility, which we call modern philanthropy in the years we live in, individuals need to be educated with this consciousness in the family and formal education system. Today, especially young adults have the opportunity to demonstrate their sensitivity to their environment through volunteer social responsibility projects during high school and university years. In our country, we encounter various projects in which young people take part in aid campaigns for disadvantaged groups or demonstrate their sensitivity towards the environment. However, there are only a few studies showing the opinions of these young people about their social responsibility experiences and the concept of social responsibility. In this study, it was aimed to understand the concept of social responsibility, opinions and experiences within the context of “The Project of Supporting for the Hemodialysis Patients” in which the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program students voluntarily took part. The semi-structured interview form is designed as a descriptive study and based on qualitative research techniques.
