Abstract :
One of the children’s main rights is protection and every child should have their main rights ensured no matter what. For protection of child rights, Turkey has accepted the UN Convention on The Rights Of Child in 1995, then after in 2005 Child Protection Law of Turkey has been published officially. On the other hand, there is a distinctive child rights declaration in place in most of European Union Member States. There are Family, Working and Social Services Ministery’s Child Service General Directorship and civil society organizations like UNICEF who are working to protect children in Turkey. The European Countries follow different ways for the protection of children. Even though all of the countries accept similar agreements, they follow different strategies. Those strategies has reduced some of the problems. But neither Europe nor Turkey provided any progress at topics like child poverty, violence against children, refugee children’s living conditions. The purpose of this study is to scrutinize Europen Union Member State’s and Turkey’s condition on the basis of 10 Child Protection Principals of European Commition which determined in 2015.
