Abstract
Bis (Benzoyl acetonato) copper (II) complex, CuB was synthesized and characterized using mass spectroscopy. Thermal analysis and X-ray diffraction studies were conducted. The Scherrer Equation and the Williamson-Hall model were utilized to determine the crystallite size of the complex which was found to be 5.749110795 nm and 7.618947368 nm, respectively. In addition, TG, DTG, and DSC provided important kinetic and thermodynamic parameters. The results indicated that the exothermic decomposition reaction of the CuB complex was a non-spontaneous process.
