  • Abstract
    Colorectal carcinoma is  the most common disease reported at the West Nusa Tenggara Indonesia. CEA is a glycoprotein that is  produced in pathological conditions. This study aims to assess the differences in CEA level at each stage of therapy in patients undergoing adjuvant and neo-adjuvant chemotherapy. This study is an analytic observational study with a crosssectional research design. The study sample included 28 patients and with Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests. There was a statistical significant difference between mean pre-resection CEA and post-resection CEA (p=0.001). There was a significant difference between the mean CEA pre-adjuvant chemotherapy and CEA post-adjuvant chemotherapy (p=0.020). There was also a difference in the mean CEA before neo-adjuvant chemotherapy  and CEA after neo-adjuvant chemotheray. There was a significant difference in the CEA post adjuvant chemotherapy and the CEA of post neo-adjuvant chemotherapy (p=0.029). Based on this study, it was found that the pattern of decreasing the average CEA level in each method of therapy. There were significant differences in pre- and post-resection CEA, pre- and post-adjuvant chemotherapy, post-adjuvant chemotherapy and post-neo-adjuvant chemotherapy, which were significant in colorectal carcinoma patients undergoing chemotherapy with the mFOLFOX-7 regimen at the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Hospital.
