Abstract :
Aims: The Quran is regarded as both the spiritual and behavioral guidance for all Muslims. The purpose of this research was to examine and introduce Quranic verses that the nurse can use and remind the patient to provide spiritual support and mental health to the patient in different stages of disease. Participants Methods: This is a qualitative study carried out using summative content analysis method. The main source of the study was the Holy Quran and Quranic keywords such as illness, death, repentance, patience, forgiveness related to the spiritual support of the patient was searched and then related verses labelled and categorized according to Elo and Kyngas method. Findings: The verses examined in the 12 concepts of having children, patience, Satan’s temptation, asking for help to endure suffering and hardship, remembrance and prayer, repentance and return, asking for a good end, remembrance of the resurrection, getting rid of the evil of the envious and tempters, ceasing hope of God’s mercy, rewards and thanks for the blessings of God were classified. Conclusion: Many verses in the Holy Quran can be used for spiritual support by nurses and care providers in different stages of the disease and provide mental health to the patient.
