Abstract :
The silapericyclyne, (Ph2SiC=C)6 was found to undergo spontaneous conformational resolution into the chair and boat conformations by crystallization from THF-MeOH. In solution, these two isomers rapidly interconvert, and could not be separately detected even at low temperature by 1H NMR.
