Abstract :
Two dinuclear Mn(II) quinoline complexes with diphenylacetate 1 or 2,2-diphenylpropanoate 2 have been prepared. Single crystal X-ray crystallography revealed the molecular structure to be the form of copper(II) acetate’s. Bonding distances MnMn, Mn-O, and Mn-N for 1 are 3.131(2), 2.116, and 2.193(5) ?, respectively, and those for 2 are 3.168(4), 2.117, and 2.215(4) ?, respectively. Anomalousness of Mn-Mn magnetic interaction of this type complexes is demonstrated.
