Anionic Polymerization of Tetraphenylgermole-spiro- cyclogermatetrasilane. A Striking Contrast in the Mechanism to the Corresponding Silole Case

Germole-incorporated polygermatetrasilanes are prepared by ring-opening anionic polymerization of tetraphenylgermolespiro-cyclogermatetrasilane. Interesting contrasts in the polymerization mechanism between silole- and germole-incorporated polymers are discussed. Properties of novel polymers are described.
