Comparison of Nd-Fe-B Surfaces Treated by Chemical Etching in the Absence and Presence of a Magnetic Field

The effect of magnetic field on a chemical etching of Nd-FeB material for permanent magnets was investigated. During magnetization, the dissolution of the material by etching was increased and the surface became flat compared with that by the etching in the absence of a magnetic field.
