Iridium-Catalyzed Regioselective Reaction of 1-Naphthols with Alkynes at the peri-Position

l-Naphthols efficiently couple with internal alkynes in the presence of an indium catalyst to selectively afford the corresponding 8-substituted l-naphthol derivatives.
