Abstract :
Ketones were transformed into alkenes via methylenation with bis(iodozincio)methane and ionic liquid, 1-butyl-3methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim][PF6]) in the absence of additional metal salt such as titanium chlorides.
