Inspection of orientation of micro fibres in dried wood by a diffractive optical element

Orientation of micro fibres in dried wood was investigated by using diffractive optical element (DOE)-based sensor. Correlation between the visibility of the images of the DOE sensor and small-angle X-ray diffraction responses was observed.
