Abstract :
Spiral galaxies have long been investigated in the radio range. A number of works have been devoted to the study of their properties in this range of electromagnetic waves [1-15]. Despite this, some questions related to the radio emission of spiral galaxies have not yet been clearly answered. It is unclear, in particular, whether there is a difference between the integrated radio emission powers of spiral galaxies with and without a bar. Nor is it very clear whether there is a connection between the spectral indices of radio emission and the level of radio emission of spiral galaxies of different morphological subtypes. Galaxies of which morphological subtypes have the strongest radio emission? And so forth. Enormous observational material has now been collected on the radio emission of galaxies at different frequencies, obtained with radio telescopes possessing high resolution and sensitivity [1-15]. This makes it possible to investigate in far more detail the radio-emitting properties of spiral galaxies than has been done before. Using the observational results given in [1-15], in the present work we have tried to answer some of these questions about the radio emission of spiral galaxies.
