Inertial Frames of Reference and the General Principle of Relativity in the Gravitation Theory

The fundamental works by V.A. Fock on the gravitation theory are discussed in detail. It is shown that his basic physical ideas are reflected in the relativistic theory of gravitation in which the gravitation field, like any other fields, is treated in the Minkowski space.
