COHERENT STRUCTURES IN QUANTUM OPTICAL MODELS WITH DISSIPATION

An approximate dynamical symmetry of the Dicke model (quantum radiation field interacting with a system of two-level atoms) is used to find an analytical solution in the presence of dissipation. This solution reveals some kind of coherent structure that survives under dissipation.
