Abstract :
A two-stagc absorption heat transformer (TAHT) and its improved version, the Acycle incorpaorating latent heat and sensible heat modes, are investigated by Aemplying energy-utilization diagrams (ELJDs). Utilizing the exhaust gas of a Agas turbine as the heat source and employing the water/lithium bromide as the Aworking fluid, it has been concluded that this is an effective way of Adecreasing the exergy loss by combining latent and sensible heat exchange Amodes. Furthermore, the temperature of the useful heat is increased. This Aanalysis can provide a basis for synthesis and development of absorption heat Atransformer systems.1999 Elsevier Science Ltd.
