FINITE ELEMENT METHOD OF DETERMINING DAYLIGHT FACTOR

The paper describes the theoretical basis of determining Daylight Factor by applying Finite Element Method (FEM). This method is quite straight forward, requires less number of simplifying assumptions and yields a good accuracy of calculation. The theoretical results are then compared with the test results measured in a scale model under an artificial sky.
