STATUS AND TRENDS IN ALL-FIBRE COMPONENTS AND DEVICES

The paper reviews the status and trends in some key application areas of photonics/ optoelectronics in communication sector and describes the All-Fibre, components playing important role in the evolution of the current day systems in this area. The status of local efforts and the areas that need expertise building are also described.
