Buckling of anisotropic sandwich panels containing holes: Part I - overall buckling

This paper presents a method for calculating the overall buckling load of simply supported composite sandwich panels containing a hole. Both the pre-buckling analysis and the overall buckling results are compared with other predictions and with experimental data where available. Good agreement is found if the hole diameter is less than 30% of the plate width.
