  • Abstract
    This correspondence adresses the problem of maximizing the subjective picture quality at given bit rates for coded video. Coding is carried out using different picture formats. The parameters involved are the number of pixels horizontally and vertically and interlacinghoninterlacing. The coding is done according to the MPEG-2 standard.
