Abstract :
This paper analyzes the nlodeling process by means of a lield study in the chemical industries. A diversilicd
sct of experienced modelers from two different countries have been interviewʹed using a case study
approach. The interviews focussed on the modeling process. Other issues like life-cycle perspectives and
