Comparison of two approximate methods of aerosol dynamics

The method of moments and the method of sectional representation are used for the solution of the aerosol dynamics equation when coagulation and removal are taken into account. The Brownian, gravitational and turbulent coagulation is considered. The gravitational settling is taken as the removal mechanism. The moments and parameters of the obtained approximate solutions are compared with each other. Some conclusions are drawn from the analysis of the obtained results.
