Abstract
In-core measurements on fuel rods thermal behaviour during steady-state as well as tran-
sient power conditions are presented. Based on these data, the in¯uence of filling gas, linear
power and burnup on CANDU-type fuel center temperature evolution are discussed. Thermal
behaviour characteristics up to ~69 MWh/kgU of helium and xenon prefilled fuel rods
instrumented with centerline thermocouples are analysed
