Monte Carlo biasing in reliability calculations with deterministic repair times

This paper deals with the use of the Monte Carlo simulation method in the estimation of life cycle logistic aspects of highly-reliable systems for which biasing techniques are mandatory. On the other hand the interlacement of the stochastic aspects of failure with the deterministic factors in¯uencing the management of repairs and spare parts inventory renders the biasing nontrivial. In this work we propose a biasing procedure to e€ectively deal with the problem.
