The impact of the harmonic crystal model on the neutron resonance parameters of 237Np

Recently it was emphasized once again that the use of the free gas model instead of the harmonic crystal model at the experimental analysis stage could introduce non-negligible errors in the deduced neutron resonance paramerters. In the present paper we will show how the use of the harmonic crystal model can a€ect the resonance parameters of 237Np bound in NpO2 when analysing the recent experimental data obtained at the GELINA* facility Belgium. Further using the harmonic crystal model at the experimental analysis stage we will deduce a new set of improved resonance parameters of 237Np.
