Neutron transport in two interacting slabs

The interaction effect between bodies has been examined. One speed integral transport theory is used and the problems studied include: (1) the interaction between two slabs to calculate variations in Galaninʹs constant and the average flux in the slabs, and (2) variation in the multiplication factor as two fissile infinite slabs approach one another. A full numerical survey has been carried out with results for Galaninʹs constant, multiplication factors and associated flux distributions.
