Abstract :
A further and very drastic simplification is shown in the AMEBA concept. The “core temperature control system”, which was outlined in a previous paper (Novelli, A., 2000. Annals of Nuclear Energy 227 (7) 589–606), is quite unnecessary so that, both control pump and mixer, can be dropped. The reactor power control may be carried out by means of direct action on the steam generator pressure, which is normal routine in any electrical power plant.
