Scope and limitations of the structural and dynamic analysis of a thermal–hydraulic model

A methodology to obtain a mathematically reliable process model is presented and analyzed in this paper. The method is based on the structural and dynamic analysis of the numerical solution of the model. As an example, the thermal–hydraulic dynamic model to describe the behavior of the nuclear reactor is presented, emphasizing the procedure for numerical scrutiny of the results to assure proper model.
