An inventory of tree and stand growth models with potential application in short-rotation forestry

An inventory of 10 recent tree and stand growth models has been made to illustrate the variety of models that are available as well as the possibilities of parameterising or adapting some of the available models for short-rotation forest growth. For each model input and output parameters, main assumptions made in the model, time step, species or forest type, suitability and applications, and contact addresses have been identified. All models that are described in this paper have been published in the open literature and adequate reference to the publications has been made.
