Abstract
Temperature gradients and convection flows are of great importance in sizing a displacement ventilation system. The temperature gradient is the determining factor for the use of this type of ventilation in which the convection flows influence the air quality in the room. Models for the calculation of the temperature gradients and the convection flows from different heat sources are presented here and compared with experimental data.
