Abstract :
This paper describes an e3ective method to reduce radon concentrations emitted from concrete materials within the interiors of buildings.
Promising results have also been obtained from an on-site test to a 600 ft2 residential 5at using alpha track detectors, where the radon
concentration has been reduced by 90% on average. This new material provides a good shielding e3ect against di3usion of radon gas that
reduces radiation pollution.
